Schedule of Events

Step back in time to the days when Blackbeard and his crew of scalawags called Bath home as pirates once again walk the streets of Historic Bath on May 10, 2025.  The day’s events hold much history and promise great fun as The Loose Cannon Crew returns to Bath Fest and occupies Bonner’s Point with hands on history interpreting The Golden Age of Piracy.  From 10:00 am to 3:00 pm arts meets history at Bath Fest.  Arts and craft vendors selling their original works line the streets while musical performances take the stage at the Bonner House. Enjoy music from traditional Celtic tunes to high energy hillbilly to rousing big band to a student showcase featuring the area’s youth.  Twisted Knot opens Bath Fest at 10:00am followed by Carolina Still on the Bonner House stage at 11:00am. From 12:00pm to 2:00pm The Emerald City Big Band plays big band favorites from the 1930’s-40’s to arrangements of today’s pop music. Bath Fest recognizes the accomplishments of our K-8th grade students at Bath Elementary School with art awards at 2:00pm followed by a showcase of talent by our local youth.  Art from Bath Elementary School students will be on display and civic groups and food trucks will sell food. Beaufort County 4-H will hold a rabbit and chicken show. If you would like to learn more Bath Fest is on Facebook and on Instagram as #bathfestnc.

Bonner’s Point is located at the intersection of S. Main and Front St.   The address is 200 Front St, Bath, NC 27808.

The Vendor Application and Festival Specifics for Vendors are attachments to the Vendor tab. Among other information the Festival Specific say the art work must be the original creation of the artist. I appreciate your interest in Bath Fest. We are looking forward to a very successful event on May 20th.

When, and where will The Embers be entertaining?

    • Town of Bath's avatar Town of Bath says:

The Embers will be playing on Bonner’s Point as part of next weekend’s Memorial Day events. Saturday, May 26th, at 6:00 pm. Go to The Greater Bath Foundation as a Google Search or on Facebook. People will gather before the concert begins with food trucks on S. Main and Front St. A totally different group of people are putting the Memorial Day event together.

The Bath Fest Committee is working through the process to hold Bath Fest on Sat. Sept. 18, 2021. The State of NC is currently under COVID restrictions that limit gatherings, both indoor and outdoor. Those limitations make a mid-May Bath Fest event impossible. The Sept. 18th date gives the Bath Fest Committee the opportunity to build on Talk Like A Pirate Day activities in support of our pirate theme.

Are they having bath fest this year 2021.

    • Town of Bath's avatar Town of Bath says:

The Bath Fest Committee is working through the process to have Bath Fest 2021 on Sat. Sept. 21, 2021. The State of NC is still under COVID restrictions limiting both indoor and outdoor gatherings. This limits any kind of mid-May event. The Sept. 18th date works with Bath Fest’s pirate theme as we can incorporate Talk Like A Pirate Day activities.

Would be interested as a vendor, I sell Boiled Peanuts, Peanuts, Pork Skins , CRACKLINS and Spices such as Collards in a Bottle.

If you look at the Festival Specifics for Vendors all of the items for sale must be the original creation of the artist or crafter. You cannot resale commercial items. The Methodist Church of Bath has been a Bath Fest vendor for years. The men of the church purchase peanuts in bulk and process them for sale as flavored dried peanuts.
